Abstract:Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems are widely deployed and increasingly influential, but their reliance on external corpora exposes new security risks from poisoned retrieval content. Existing RAG attacks are largely focusing on individual queries or narrow topic-local query sets, which limits their practical reach and offers limited camouflage in real-world settings. In this paper, we introduce discourse-level opinion manipulation, a new threat model in which coordinated influence across a semantic query network induces opinion shifts over a holistic, multi-topic query space. We formalize this threat in a black-box setting and propose DiscourseFlip, an agentic, graph-guided attack that dynamically allocates a limited poisoning budget to maximize discourse-level opinion deviation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DiscourseFlip consistently induces targeted opinion shifts across the contextualized query network and significantly outperforms existing baselines in terms of coverage and effectiveness. User studies further confirm that DiscourseFlip is effective while remaining well camouflaged from user detection. Moreover, systematic analyses show that existing mitigation strategies are ineffective against discourse-level manipulation, underscoring the urgent need for more robust and adaptive defenses to address discourse-level vulnerabilities.
Abstract:Creating images from noise is image generation; reconstructing fine details from coarse inputs is super-resolution. Despite their practical differences, both can be understood as reversing information loss across scales. We introduce $\textbf{SKILD}$, a $\textbf{S}$cale-invariant $\textbf{K}$-Space $\textbf{I}$mage $\textbf{L}$earning $\textbf{D}$iffusion model that unifies generation and continuous super-resolution within a single unconditional framework. Both natural images and critical physical systems exhibit scale invariance, and we leverage it to design a forward process that attenuates image content from fine to coarse scales while injecting spectrum-matched Gaussian noise, making scale an explicit coordinate of the diffusion dynamics. The same trained reverse process performs generation and continuous super-resolution by varying only the starting timestep: $\textit{no task-specific architecture, no conditioning branch, no classifier-free guidance, no retraining per scale factor}$. Empirically, SKILD reaches FID $2.65$ and Inception Score $9.63$ on unconditional CIFAR-10, performs $2\times$--$8\times$ super-resolution on ImageNet from a single unconditional checkpoint while outperforming conditional models across perceptual metrics, and reconstructs critical Ising models whose connected four-point correlations closely track the ground truth.
Abstract:Generalist neural routing solvers have shown great potential in solving diverse vehicle routing problems (VRPs) with a unified model. However, existing solvers are typically limited to symmetric settings or degrade in performance when switching to asymmetric settings due to input inconsistencies or inherent structural differences, substantially limiting their practicality in real-world scenarios that encompass both scenarios. To address this limitation, we define the spatial position of each node based on the relative distances to a specific set of pivots and further propose a Spatial Pivot-Aligned Coordinate-free Embedding (SPACE) framework that unifies node representation and solution generation across symmetric and asymmetric VRPs. Specifically, we construct a bidirectional Frechet representation using a novel furthest pivot sampling strategy to enable invariant node representations across distinct problem settings. Furthermore, we introduce a weight-decomposed adaptive decoding mechanism that decouples geometric perception from problem representations, mitigating the overfitting of constraint decisions to a specific geometry setting. Extensive experiments on 110 VRP variants, comprising 55 symmetric problems and their asymmetric counterparts, demonstrate that SPACE achieves promising zero-shot generalization in both symmetric and asymmetric VRPs.
Abstract:Many-core neuromorphic systems accelerate Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs), yet their packet-based spike communication can spend substantial traffic and energy repeatedly transmitting destination addresses. This overhead is amplified by the small payload of spike packets: in representative workloads, duplicate address transmissions account for up to 49% of the total traffic. This paper presents UniSpike, a hardware-software co-design that removes address redundancy by aggregating spikes destined for the same core into compact packets. UniSpike combines destination-centric spike scheduling, lightweight runtime packet assembly hardware, and destination-aware SNN partitioning. Across diverse SNN workloads, UniSpike reduces traffic by 1.93$\times$ on average, delivering 1.77$\times$ speedup and 1.50$\times$ energy efficiency improvement over state-of-the-art designs.
Abstract:The high cost and data scarcity in scientific exploration have motivated the use of large language models (LLMs) as knowledge-driven components in Bayesian optimization (BO). However, existing approaches typically embed LLMs directly into the sampling or surrogate modeling pipeline, without fully leveraging their significantly lower evaluation cost compared to real-world experiments. To address this limitation, we propose LLM-Accelerated Bayesian Optimization (LABO), a framework that combines LLM predictions with experimental observations within a single BO loop. LABO employs a gating criterion to dynamically balance the reliance on LLM predictions versus actual experiments. By leveraging inexpensive LLM evaluations to broadly explore the search space and reserving costly real experiments only for regions with high uncertainty, LABO achieves more sample-efficient optimization. We provide a theoretical analysis with a cumulative regret bound that formalizes this efficiency gain. Empirical results across diverse scientific tasks demonstrate that LABO consistently outperforms existing methods under identical experimental budgets. Our results suggest that LABO offers a practical and theoretically grounded approach for integrating LLMs into scientific discovery workflows.
Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the supremum-norm generalization error and the uniform inference for a specific class of kernel regression methods, namely the kernel gradient flows. Under the widely adopted capacity-source condition framework in the kernel regression literature, we first establish convergence rates for the supremum norm generalization error of both continuous and discrete kernel gradient flows under the source condition $s>α_0$, where $α_0\in(0,1)$ denotes the embedding index of the kernel function. Moreover, we show that these rates match the minimax optimal rates. Building on this result, we then construct simultaneous confidence bands for both continuous and discrete kernel gradient flows. Notably, the widths of the proposed confidence bands are also optimal, in the sense that their shrinkage rates are greater than, while can be arbitrarily close to, the minimax optimal rates.
Abstract:Synthesizing physics-grounded 3D assets is a critical bottleneck for interactive virtual worlds and embodied AI. Existing methods predominantly focus on static geometry, overlooking the functional properties essential for interaction. We propose that interactive asset generation must be rooted in functional logic and hierarchical physics. To bridge this gap, we introduce PhysForge, a decoupled two-stage framework supported by PhysDB, a large-scale dataset of 150,000 assets with four-tier physical annotations. First, a VLM acts as a "physical architect" to plan a "Hierarchical Physical Blueprint" defining material, functional, and kinematic constraints. Second, a physics-grounded diffusion model realizes this blueprint by synthesizing high-fidelity geometry alongside precise kinematic parameters via a novel KineVoxel Injection (KVI) mechanism. Experiments demonstrate that PhysForge produces functionally plausible, simulation-ready assets, providing a robust data engine for interactive 3D content and embodied agents.
Abstract:Peg-in-hole (PiH) assembly is a fundamental yet challenging robotic manipulation task. While reinforcement learning (RL) has shown promise in tackling such tasks, it requires extensive exploration. In this paper, we propose a novel visual-tactile skill learning framework for the PiH task that leverages its inverse task, i.e., peg-out-of-hole (PooH) disassembly, to facilitate PiH learning. Compared to PiH, PooH is inherently easier as it only needs to overcome existing friction without precise alignment, making data collection more efficient. To this end, we formulate both PooH and PiH as Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes (POMDPs) in a unified environment with shared visual-tactile observation space. A visual-tactile PooH policy is first trained; its trajectories, containing kinematic, visual and tactile information, are temporally reversed and action-randomized to provide expert data for PiH. In the policy learning, visual sensing facilitates the peg-hole approach, while tactile measurements compensate for peg-hole misalignment. Experiments across diverse peg-hole geometries show that the visual-tactile policy attains 6.4% lower contact forces than its single-modality counterparts, and that our framework achieves average success rates of 87.5% on seen objects and 77.1% on unseen objects, outperforming direct RL methods that train PiH policies from scratch by 18.1% in success rate. Abstract:Seedance 2.0 is a new native multi-modal audio-video generation model, officially released in China in early February 2026. Compared with its predecessors, Seedance 1.0 and 1.5 Pro, Seedance 2.0 adopts a unified, highly efficient, and large-scale architecture for multi-modal audio-video joint generation. This allows it to support four input modalities: text, image, audio, and video, by integrating one of the most comprehensive suites of multi-modal content reference and editing capabilities available in the industry to date. It delivers substantial, well-rounded improvements across all key sub-dimensions of video and audio generation. In both expert evaluations and public user tests, the model has demonstrated performance on par with the leading levels in the field. Seedance 2.0 supports direct generation of audio-video content with durations ranging from 4 to 15 seconds, with native output resolutions of 480p and 720p. For multi-modal inputs as reference, its current open platform supports up to 3 video clips, 9 images, and 3 audio clips. In addition, we provide Seedance 2.0 Fast version, an accelerated variant of Seedance 2.0 designed to boost generation speed for low-latency scenarios. Seedance 2.0 has delivered significant improvements to its foundational generation capabilities and multi-modal generation performance, bringing an enhanced creative experience for end users.
Abstract:Vision-language models (VLMs) perform strongly on many multimodal benchmarks. However, the ability to follow complex visual paths -- a task that human observers typically find straightforward -- remains under-tested. We introduce TraversalBench, a controlled benchmark for exact visual path traversal. Each instance contains a single continuous polyline, a unique start marker, and markers placed at path vertices; the task is to recover the exact ordered sequence encountered when traversing the path from start to finish. The benchmark explicitly balances key path-structural factors including self-intersection count, tortuosity, vertex count, and nearby confounding lines, while minimizing reliance on OCR, world knowledge, and open-ended planning. We find that self-intersections are the dominant source of difficulty. A first-crossing analysis shows that errors are sharply localized: performance is relatively stable immediately before the first crossing, then drops steeply when the model must resolve the correct continuation. By contrast, nearby confounding lines produce a weaker persistent degradation that compounds with repeated exposure. These analyses make TraversalBench a useful diagnostic for identifying whether models suffer from human-like failures or other breakdowns in sustained visual processing. An auxiliary reading-order benchmark further reveals a consistent preference for layouts compatible with left-to-right serialization, while not explaining away the main effects of path complexity. Together, these results position TraversalBench as a controlled diagnostic of path-faithful visual reasoning and as a useful testbed for studying multimodal spatial reasoning under ambiguity, clutter, and distractor structure. More broadly, we position TraversalBench as a contribution to the still-limited area of sustained visual grounding benchmarks for VLMs.
